Pregnancy Headaches

Headaches can occur quite frequently during pregnancy, particularly in the first and third trimesters. There are several factors that may cause these headaches. Particularly in the first trimester, your body experiences a surge of hormones and an increase in blood volume. Other factors that can contribute to your headaches is a lack of sleep, dehydration, stress, caffeine withdrawal, or low blood sugar. Sometimes foods such as cheese, yeast, tomatoes, chocolate, and dairy can cause headaches.
